If you are not seeing an expected outcome when testing a map, make all of your rule main conditions Optional. That means that all answers with a certainty greater than 0% will be shown with an evidence tree, allowing you to track down the problem.

TIP OF THE DAY!

Rainbird maps will autosave after you change concepts, instances, relationships and rules, but not when you re-arrange your map. So if you can't run a query try pressing the Save button, then seeing if queries are available.

Use the search bar in the Navigator to quickly find elements in your Rainbird map.

TIP OF THE DAY!

Organise your Rainbird map by grouping similar concepts together, and avoiding crossed relationship lines. Arrange it so that it flows logically, e.g. from left to right or top to bottom.

This doesn't affect the logic of the map, but makes it much easier to understand.
